This house is located at the bottom of a river valley with the surrounding hills forming a barrier to sun entry in winter. The roof angle was calculated to allow the maximum amount of easterly sun into the dwelling in winter. 

The house features rammed earth walls, a polished concrete slab and joinery manufactured from a tree removed from site. Designed to comply with Bushfire Attack Levels of  29.
